New Mum, Cameron Diaz Says She Never Gave Her Baby Daughter, Raddix The Traditional Kids’ Menu But Gives Her This Instead… Weird?
New mama, Cameron Diaz has decided to keep most things private about her and husband, Benji Madden’s baby daughter Raddix.
In a new interview with Rachael Ray, though, the American actress did share some interesting new information about her daughter.
According to the 48-year-old Charlie’s Angels star, Raddix is definitely not eating off a traditional kids’ menu.
“She never had a puree,” Diaz said. “She’s had garlic from day one,” Diaz tells Ray on the episode. Yep, you read that right: At just 11 months old, baby Raddix has quite the sophisticated palate.
But garlic isn’t all: “She eats bone marrow, and liver,” Diaz continues. “And she loves it. I put herbs in everything, thyme, and dill, sage, everything. She just loves all of it.”
Diaz also said she loves to season the food she gives her daughter, sharing,
“I put herbs in everything — thyme and dill, sage, everything. She just loves all of it.”
Ray praised the actress for strengthening her little one’s palate at such an early age and mentioned her annoyance with parents who “dumb down kid’s food.”
“I love that you’re making her food so you can really strengthen her palate,” the celebrity chef chimed in. “I hate it when people dumb down their kids’ food.”
And good thing the little gal is a food fanatic, because Diaz seems to be a cooking fanatic — at least during quarantine.

“The first four months I cooked every single meal,” Diaz, who has written two books about health and wellness, told Ray.
“For the most part I am cooking all our meals … I love to cook, it’s my love language. I love to cook for my husband, I love to cook for my child now; being able to make the food for her has been incredible.”
Diaz, whose last film role was six years ago, welcomed her first child at age 47.
In a recent interview on Naomi Campbell’s YouTube series “No Filter,” the Charlie’s Angels star spoke about becoming a mom later in life.
“A lot of people do it the other way around … they get married [and] have a family in their youth. I’m kind of doing it in the second half of my life. The only pressure for me now is I have to live to be, like, 107, you know? No pressure!
“I really feel like this is my sweet spot and the happiest time in my life. Even with all the amazing experiences I’ve had in traveling and accomplishments of working hard and putting things into the world I’m proud of … I know, this is really the most gratifying time in my life, to be in this place, to get here.
Having a family when you’re young … it’s like anything when you’re young: You do it. But when you’re my age and you decide to do it, it’s a real choice. You really have to work hard for it.”
