Ex-Big Brother Naija fake housemate of class 2017, Eriata Ese might not have ever been married but she’s obviously geared up not to let her parents decide who she ends up with.
The actress and model recently took to her verified Instagram platform to speak frankly to Nigerian parents who are in the habit of deciding who their children must get married to.
According to the beautiful young woman, most parents don’t even realise they are using the clock to set their children’s time which is very dangerous.
She then went further to warn that anyone who allows his or her parents to chose their spouses for them in this century might end up regretting that decision.

“The biggest mistakes you can ever make in your life is letting your parents decide who you should end up with. How parents always think they know it all because they feel they have there makes me wonder if they realize they are using their clock to set our time.
All they want is the best for you and what will favour the family. But they neglect the part where they have to be sure if what they want for you is what you want for yourself.
I hear things like “I am not into my marriage” and when you ask why, you hear things like ‘my parents wanted it”. Do you know the regret that comes with ending up with someone you don’t want to be with.
Then they console you with ‘don’t worry love will come along the line” shey na from Arik Air or Emirates airlines e go pass come?
It is 2021! That nonsense has to be stop honestly. The most irritating part is when they are specific on the tribe not to bring home like say e no get the tribe wey no dey dey do evil things.
What has tribe got to do with someone’s personality? When will our parents know that tribe doesn’t determine a good person? Even your very own town person fit still run you street.”
