Popular Journalist, Others Chide Actress, Laide Bakare For ‘Foolishly’ Exposing Her Children | Do You Think She Went Overboard?
Popular Nollywood star, Laide Bakare has been dragged by Nigerians and popular journalist, Unlimited Eniola following her recent announcement on social media.
Yesterday, the actress took to her Instagram page to share a post claiming that her 13-year-old daughter, Simi gifted her brother a car, Benz worth millions for his 9th birthday.
Sharing photos of the new whip, the single mum-of-three wrote:
“From A 13 year old Simi To her 9yr Brother DAMY, I’m Blessed indeed, Aliamdulilai for everything, LOVE lives in my house, I don’t hunt for it anymore. Allah Be praised Always, youngest billionaire, no fake zone, multi landlady, everything organic.”
In another post, she wrote:
“Money Truly stops Nonsense, my forthcoming Book launch is gonna surely impact your life positively { how to make billions in 6 months) can’t wait to share with you. Simi is just 13, she just gifted her brother A Benz.”
The post, as expected generated lots of reactions and Nigerians are not swallowing that hook, line, and sinker.
Reacting, the journalist stated that the actress is supposed to be among the gathering of foolish fools. According to him, Laide should get an invitation to gatherings for people who talk nonsense and act foolishly.
He added that the actress, who raised eyebrows since she bought her new house in March, and splashed millions on two luxury cars recently, needlessly exposed her children and she did it foolishly.
“When you talk about nonsense and call for the gathering of foolish fools, kindly invite Laide Bakare to the table. She needlessly exposed her children and she does it foolishly.”
Omotayo of Lagos wrote:
“It is only on Instagram Laide Bakare can sell that kind of zobo and go away with it because where will a 13-year-old girl get the money to buy a car and present it to her younger brother? Did she start hustling from the womb? What’s so difficult in admitting you bought a car for your kids?”

“So, how on earth can Laide Bakare’s 13-year-old daughter afford a car to gift her 9-year-old brother? The problem I have with many Nigerian celebrities is the need to be in the spotlight for ridiculous stuff. Mind you, at least 95% of the Naija Instagram believes it.”
