Update Emerge On Jealous Husband Who Strangled His Wife To Death And Then Drank Poisonous Substance In Niger State
An update has emerged on the jealous husband who murdered his wife and then attempted suicide.
We had earlier reported the sad news of Adeniyi Jose, from Akure, Ondo State, who strangled his wife-of-eight years, Chidinma Gloria Ibeh, from Imo state, with a rope and also suffocated her with a pillow over allegations of infidelity.
Afterwards, he consumed a poisonous substance said to be sniper at their home in Suleja, Niger state.
In a new development, Mr Jose has also died from complications from the poisonous substance.
A source close to the family said Mr Jose’s suspicion that his wife was unfaithful had no basis.
“Gloria never cheated on her husband. People should stop saying what they don’t know,”
the source said.
The source added that Mr Adeniyi has always been a jealous husband and picked fights with his wife whenever he saw her talking to any man.
The wife was reportedly the breadwinner of the family as Adeniyi didn’t have a job.
The couple, who married in 2014, leave behind a son.
