Pete Edochie Publicly Reacts To His Son, Yul’s Marital Woes: ‘He Who Fetches Ant-infested Firewood Should Be …’
Nollywood legend, Pete Edochie has reacted publicly to the marital issues his son, Yul Edochie is currently facing after marrying a second wife, Judy Austin.
This comes in the wake of reports that Yul’s first wife, May, has officially filed for divorce and is demanding N100 million in damages from Yul and Judy for alleged adultery.
The mother of three who recently lost her first son with the actor, also filed a restraining order, preventing Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home.
Since Yul and Judy made their marriage public last year and announced the birth of their child, they have been the subject of intense discussions and criticism on social media.
The 40-year-old actor continues to face heat over his actions and social media posts following the tragic death of his first son, Kambilichukwu.
During a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Pete indirectly spoke on his son’s marital saga through a proverb.
He asserted that Yul brought all the negativity upon himself by bringing an ‘infested firewood’, referring to Judy Austin, into his home.
He said in proverbs:
“He who goes to the farm and gets ant-infested firewoods (amongst all the good firewood in the farm) shouldn’t be surprised when Lizards start paying him a visit.”
This can be loosely interpreted as “Yul being the architect of his current issues”.
