Ric Hassani Bemoans Young People Who Believe Being ‘Disrespectful And Uncouth’ For Getting Attention Is Right
Nigerian artist, Ric Hassani has berated kids who normalize being disrespectful and uncouth merely for the sake of attracting attention.
This follows a conversation between the singer and an online user, @whizzylad_ayo, who claimed that Ric Hassani had “fallen off” in his career and expressed interest in being “put on” in the Afrobeat sector.
The gifted singer bemoaned the state of affairs and questioned who taught young people that acting rudely is the best way to attract attention on social media.
Hassani believes that basic decency, maturity, kindness, and respect are more valuable, but tragically, they are losing favor every day.
He wrote:
“I don’t know who lies to these poor kids that to “get someone’s attention” you can be disrespectful, negative, uncouth. These are lies of the devil. Kindness, Politeness, Respect, Maturity and just plain old “Courtesy” is of more value but it’s becoming more unpopular by the day.
I don’t know again honestly. I will maintain my values, hopefully I keep finding and attracting people of similar values so that WE now become the popular ones, and all these other guys become the “un-cool” ones.”
