Actress, Ini Dima-Okojie Opens Up On Her Struggles With Recurring Fibroids, Promises To Sensitize Women About The Health Defect
Nigerian actress, Ini Dima-Okojie has just broken some heartbreaking news regarding a health concern.
In an emotional video, the movie star shared how she recently got diagnosed with fibroid for the second time.
Ini-Dima went on to recount that she got her first diagnosis in 2017, and she had an invasive surgery to remove the growths in 2020.
According to the actress, sharing the news of her second fibroid diagnosis hasn’t been easy, and she’s been going back and forth about it.
However, what gave her strength was the fact that when she first shared her story in 2020, she got a lot of support from various women, who in turn shared their stories.
Instead of getting another surgery done, Ini Dima said she would be taking a holistic approach, aimed at shrinking the fibroid lumps in her body.
Going forward, the Nollywood sensation shared that she would be sponsoring twenty women to get scans for fibroid.
She also said that she would start a podcast, discussing different holistic approaches for managing fibroids, and that she would be open to tips from women who are suffering from the same condition.
Ini Dima’s reason for starting a podcast to sensitize women about fibroid is that in 2017, she had no idea what fibroid was, even when she was experiencing symptoms.
She said that it was after she shared her symptoms with her sister that she got directions about the type of test to get.

I will be sponsoring scans for 20 women. Join my channel “Ini’s Circle” and subscribe to my newsletter (both linked in bio) for more details.
If you know someone dealing with fibroids who could benefit from this, please share this with them.
