‘Stop Telling Them To Tolerate Nonsense’ -Nigerian Man Addresses The Double-standards In How People React To Married Men And Women Cheating
A Nigerian man has pointed out the difference in how people address a man’s infidelity and how they address it when it’s coming from a woman.
The married man, @KingSuleiman27 on X questioned why women are told to forgive cheating husbands but men are shamed if they forgive cheating wives.
According to him, society should rather address the main problem, that is, the cheating husband rather than telling the wife to tolerate his nonsense.

He wrote:
“If your husband cheats on you, people will beg you to forgive him and be patient, even suggesting you do extra to make him stop.
“If you cheat on your husband, they will call him a fool if he dares to forgive you.
“We should start addressing the main problem instead of telling people to tolerate nonsense.”

You are right, the narrative has to change, from men cheating and expecting the woman to grin and bear it, like nothing happened. The man becoming defensive, claiming to be right. Blood flows through the woman too.
Men hardly forgive a cheating woman, they can not stand the thought of another man being with their woman. How do you think a woman feels??? Especially when the man ignores her, the home and the children, while showering all his attention on the other woman.
Women thrives on affection. Some woman and the children are even neglected financially, while the man is caught up in the euphoria of his new found love or just. If the woman was your daughter, how would you feel to see her in pain and neglected???

I think women should be financially independent. Women with kids stay in marriage sometime because they don’t have the financial strength to leave . The law in Nigeria does not favor women in this situation.
In the Western world depending on the number of kids , Child support will be at 20-40 percent of the husband income if the wife is having full custody of the kids . In Nigeria , the court could order the husband to be paying a ridiculous amount monthly for kid welfare. Some men will not even pay ,

Most women who forgive cheating husbands do it because it serves their purpose better to stay than to leave. No woman forgets cheating like that especially if she’s loyal and not cheating too.
