Nigerian Man Whose Wife Is The Sole Provider Of Their Family Shares Experience In Viral Video
A Nigerian man has stirred reactions online after revealing his wife’s pivotal role in their household finances, highlighting her remarkable commitment.
In a recent interview, the anonymous husband revealed a surprising dynamic in his marriage, disclosing that his wife is the sole provider of their family.
In the video trending on X, the man is seen talking about how his wife was responsible for providing for the family for years.
He explained that he had access to her ATM card and could withdraw whatever he wanted. He added that when she bought a car, she did not drive it for up to two weeks before handing it over to him and he drove it for seven years while his wife continued with public transport.
Emphasizing her devotion, he said,
“Even the first car she bought, She handed the keys over to me, and opted to continue using public transportation”.
He explained that his wife was the provider “for many years”.
Speaking, the woman explained that every money she earns is for the family. In her words:
“I make the money, we all use it at home. Any salary that comes is ours, not mine.”
A number of Nigerian men reacted, asking where they can find such a wife. Others said they can’t let their woman provide for them.

@AnabelObi remarked, “No wonder she looks older than you. Carrying your responsibility”.
@NaomiIsibiki asserted, “Your wife is from the old testament, sir”.
@White Lion queried, “So, in simple language. Can we now say you are the wife and she’s the husband?”.
@Nayman added: “You let her use public transport while you drive the car. Why not drop her, then take the car. If men treat women the way this wife treated her husband, there won’t be acrimony in marriage.”
@Chi: “Allowing your wife or husband to be the sole provider when you are able to contribute is disgraceful, and makes you a leech. As a woman, I can not lay around and let my husband be the only one taking care of the bills. We are supposed to help, and support.”
@TheMan: “Well she looks like his mother now. Probably overworked and tired. Oga, so are you saying you have never contributed to your own home and/or have any plans of contributing? To the best of my knowledge, Marriage is a two way street. The man who is the head of the home ought to provide especially when he is strong and seemingly healthy like you look. It is well with your wife…”
