Skit Maker, Ijoba Lande’s Wife Breaks Silence Over Allegations Of Cheating With Actor Baba Tee, Other Men
Darasimi, the estranged wife of comedian Ganiu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has broken her silence over the allegations of infidelity levelled against her by her husband.
During an interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, Darasimi clarified that her encounter with Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, also known as Baba Tee, was misrepresented.
The mother of one explained that she only sat on Baba Tee’s legs during a “Truth and Dare” game initiated by her friend, Marygold, and did not engage in any sexual activity with him.
Her reaction follows a viral interview in which Lande accused her of cheating with no fewer than 21 men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee. He claimed the alleged infidelity was the reason she walked out of their marriage.
However, Darasimi denied the allegations, insisting that cheating was not the reason for the breakdown of their marriage.
Recounting the events that led to the viral controversy, she said,
“The first time I met Baba Tee was in July last year when Marygold told me we should go to his house because she wanted to invite him to the launching of her movie. When we got there, Baba Tee didn’t know I was Lande’s wife, we greeted and Marygold said she wanted to drink alcohol.
“There was no alcohol in the house, so Marygold and Baba Tee’s driver went to buy it while I sat down in the living room. Baba Tee and I didn’t talk till they returned. When Marygold entered the house, she said we should start a ‘Truth or Dare’ game.
I didn’t want to, but she encouraged me, so I told Baba Tee that I was Lande’s wife, and we started the game. As the game was going on, Marygold stripped herself naked and gave Baba Tee a BJ.
By then, I had already drunk 10 shots of alcohol while Marygold and Baba Tee were smoking ‘Igbo’ (marijuana). Marygold then dared Baba Tee to give me a doggy style, so Baba Tee went to get a condom.
When he returned, I told him I would not allow doggy, but I would sit on him. We then told Marygold to turn to the wall so she wouldn’t watch us. I only sat on his lap; we didn’t do anything.”
Darasimi further challenged her estranged husband to provide proof of his claims, maintaining that he was aware she never engaged in promiscuity while they were together. She added:
“I will not say why we broke up for now due to some personal reasons, but it wasn’t about infidelity.”
Meanwhile, Baba Tee had earlier admitted to having a sexual encounter with Darasimi, though he described it as a brief and regrettable episode that occurred under the influence of alcohol during the same “Truth or Dare” game.
The 45-year-old actor, in a short message shared via his official Facebook page on Monday, tendered an apology to Ijoba Lande. He wrote,
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother, Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge…Hmmm. I fear women.”
Ijoba Lande had few days ago called out Baba Tee and other entertainers on social media for allegedly sleeping with his wife.
While accusing his wife of engaging in extramarital affairs, Lande stated that Dara moved out of his house in January 2025 after he discovered her alleged infidelity.
In response, Baba Tee in a video interview on his Instagram page, denied the allegation. He had threatened legal action against Lande for defamation as he also challenged him to provide proof of the affair or face the consequences in court.
However, Baba Tee in a new development on Monday morning made a U-turn and tendered a public apology to Lande.
