Nigerian Man Advises Fellow Men On The Minimum Things They Must Have Before Thinking Of Marriage And Having Kids
A Nigerian man, Davej Daniel, has shared some advise with his fellow men who are already thinking of settling down and having children.
According to Daniel, a man should have a minimum of a two or three bedroom apartment and a car before thinking of marriage and having kids.
Mr. Daniel stated this following criticisms faced by Nigerian broadcast journalist, Adedayo Oderinu, after he advised men to try and buy a car before expanding their family.
Adedayo wrote:
“I didn’t even say this much o and everywhere don red! But no lies, in the current day Nigeria, if you cannot afford a 2-bed (minimum), Biko hold on with marriage. Emphasis on AFFORD, because there are people who simply choose to live uncomfortably, despite being able to afford comfort.
I don’t quite think you must buy a car before marrying, but you must be building capacity in that direction. But, if you cannot afford a 2-bed, I promise you, you cannot afford marriage, let alone childbirth. These two ventures appear very cheap from afar, but are very costly when you move close.
Don’t mess yourself up. Build sustenance first.”
