Nigerian Muslim Cleric Sends Message To Husbands As He Berates Nursing Mums Who Breastfeed In Public

A Muslim cleric, Bello Muhammed Tahir, has warned nursing mothers to desist from breastfeeding their babies in public.

The Kogi cleric stated some nursing mothers give out their breasts for everyone to see all in the name of breastfeeding.

He went further to state that every responsible husband should frown at his wife breastfeeding in public.

According to the cleric, the nudity of a woman is for her husband alone and not for the public.

“Do not breastfeed in public. Your nudity before marriage remains your nudity after marriage except your husband who can see everything.

Even amongst fellow women, don’t bring out your breast to breastfeed. Some of the nursing mothers are carefree about this.

They give out breast for everyone to see in the name of breastfeeding. Every responsible husband should frown at this. Nursing mothers, be guided. Allahumma bārik.”
