Billionaire Son, Ugo Okonkwo Shares The Unusual Requirement He Had To Fulfil Before He Could Marry Billionaire’s Daughter, Kenechukwu Jackson

Ugo Okonkwo, son of Bishop Emma Okonkwo, has shared the unusual requirement he had to fulfil before being allowed to marry Kenechukwu, the daughter of billionaire businessman Obi Jackson.

The couple held a lavish, multi-million naira wedding ceremony a few weeks ago, with highlights from the event trending across social media.

In an interview with media personality, Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, Ugo disclosed that his mother-in-law gave him a 3-page examination to write as part of his marriage process.

According to the newly married, they made him write a three-page examination explaining why he wanted to marry their daughter —a task with a set deadline.

He said during his visit to his in-laws, his mother-in-law told him she couldn’t quite grasp all he was saying and instructed him to put it in writing. He stated:

“They gave me a date to submit. I met with both her parents on Wednesday. They said submit it Friday 2pm, for example. That’s a 22nd. Exam.”

In the recording, Ugo recounted returning home to inform his father about the unusual demand.

His father reportedly told him that if he truly wanted to marry his fiancée, he would have to comply with her mother’s request. He continued:

“You see, if you want to marry, you go and write. If you don’t want to marry, you go to school. Please, let’s discuss business.”

Ugo took the task seriously and drafted a detailed letter, structuring his reasons into five key points before submitting it to Kene’s mother.

The billionaire’s son admitted the experience was nerve-racking, especially after hearing no feedback for four days. He further shared:

“I submitted Friday, no reply till Monday. I said, Kene, is your mom around? She said yes. I said, I’ve lost. If I submit my answer Friday, and Saturday, Sunday, Monday, no answer.

The examiner has not said anything. Nothing. You must have failed now. They don’t know how to tell you.”
