”All is just make up” – Mercy Aigbe’s Estranged Husband Lanre Gentry Dismisses Photos of Wife’s Battered Face

It was learnt that actress, Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Lanre Gentry were expected to be in court yesterday, Friday, May 5, 2017, but only Mercy showed up and at the moment there’s no concrete explanation on the state of things.

Rather, he took to Instagram to say that his wife’s bloody photos are visual special effects used in movies.

“All is just makeup, I did not beat her (sic),” he wrote.

This comes after the celebrity mum of two, addressed the issues concerning her marriage crisis yesterday morning, sharing a photo of her bruised face to prove she was actually abused by her hubby (read here) who has been denying the allegations of assault.

In an earlier interview, Lanre had accused his wife of infidelity. Speaking to Best of Nollywood, he said she has been unfaithful in their 7 years marriage.

Mercy, on the other hand had filed a restraining order suit on April 25, 2017, against him and was finally granted one on April 28, 2017. The restraining order against her husband covers a one-mile radius.

It was reported that the actress had been enduring domestic violence for a long time in her marriage but it has gotten worse lately.
