Mum-Of-Two, Charlize Theron Recounts Sad Story Of Her Mum Fatally Shot Her Father
South African-born Hollywood actress and producer, Charlize Theron, has narrated the events that led to the shooting to death of her father. The incident happened in 1991 when she was about 16-year-old.
She narrated that her dad had come home dead drunk and had fired at her and her mother through the door.
“And so, both of us were leaning against the door from the inside to have him not be able to push through. And he took a step back and just shot through the door three times. And none of those bullets ever hit us, which is just a miracle.”
Theron’s mother then retrieved her own handgun and killed her own husband. She was not charged for the murder, as the court believed that she acted in self-defence.
“But in self-defense, she ended the threat. And this is a story that I have, you know, shared with a lot of people”,
Theron said. The actress also admitted that she really believed she could have died that night.
