Angelina Jolie Meets Queen Elizabeth II to Receive Honourary Damehood

Us magazine reports Queen Elizabeth II honoured mum, wife and famous actress, Angelina Jolie on Friday, Oct. 10, inside Buckingham Palace in London for her humanitarian work around the world.

She was presented an Honourary Dame Grand Cross, the female equivalent of knighthood, which is the the highest honour bestowed upon a citizen of the British Empire. Her husband Brad Pitt and their six kids, Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, were reportedly present for the special occasion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since Jolie is not a citizen of the Commonwealth, she receives an Honorary Dame Grand Cross instead of the formal title of Dame. Still, “DCMG” can be written beside her name.
