Photo: David Beckham Cheers As Son, Romeo, Scores For Arsenal’s Academy In 3-2 Victory Over Liverpool
While Brooklyn Beckham has been making strides at Arsenal’s training academy, it was believed his 12-year-old brother Romeo was focusing on a career in modelling after featuring in two Burberry campaigns.
However, the youngster showed his sporty side on Thursday when he lined out for Arsenal and even scored the second goal in a 3-2 victory over Liverpool at the latter’s Kirkby training ground.
Doting dad David, 39 and nine-year-old Cruz were on hand to watch Romeo’s impressive display and David could not hide his pride as he proudly clapped and cheered for the youngster.
Clearly not trying to fade into the crowd, David stood out in a flamboyant orange parka as he proudly watched from the sidelines.
According to the Liverpool Echo, David told other spectators that he was ‘just in Liverpool for the day’ as he needed ‘to get back to London’ after the game.
He added that his wife Victoria was in London with their other children, Brooklyn, 15 and three-year-old Harper.
Romeo’s interest in pursuing the sport comes as a surprise but it has been revealed that he has joined Brooklyn at Arsenal’s training academy.
