Baby Stolen From Hospital Nursery Returned With A ‘Sorry’ Note 24 Hours Later

A newborn baby stolen from the Pannadhay Wing at MB General Hospital in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, was returned a day later with a note saying “sorry.”

CCTV showed a middle-aged woman snatching the tot from a nursery wing in the north Indian hospital.

The infant’s mother told police the same person struck up a conversation with her minutes earlier.

When doctors spotted the child snatcher, she told them she was taking the infant to her mother to be fed.

On Sunday, staff launched a desperate search for the missing baby as police appealed for its safe return.

The baby was found the next day dumped on the steps of a nearby temple with a note pinned to her body.

It read: “Please give this child to RNT nursery. Sorry.”
