Wife Saves Marriage By Signing Undertaking To Be Of Good Behaviour

A wife and mother of four, Toyin Oifinni, has saved her 10-year-old marriage after she signed an undertaking to avoid trouble and live in peace with her husband, Sikiru Ojifinni.

The President of the Ikorodu Customary Court Mr Olu Adebiyi after several attempts, successfully resolved the issues between the couple and ordered Toyin to sign an undertaking to be of good behaviour.

Reports stated that the husband, who resides at Prince S.A. Street, Ikorodu, had in March approached the court seeking the dissolution of his marriage to Toyin.

The husband who wanted an end to the marriage said his spouse is too troublesome. “My wife is just too troublesome; she is always fights me over little misunderstandings. She left the house for two days without my consent; in fact, the police had intervened several times in the marital disputes,’’ he said. The wife however had earlier pleaded with the court to save her marriage.

Adebiyi said: “This marriage has taken a new shape after the wife had pleaded with the court to save her marriage. She has also signed an undertaking that she will shun troubles and be at peace with him henceforth. I hereby order you to remain a good wife till death do you part.’’
