A 20-year-old housekeeper, Vivian Simeon-Michael, has earned a two-month prison sentence for stealing her employer’s underwear and other items, valued at N295, 000. She was sentenced on Tuesday by an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos without an option of fine.
Prosecutor, Cpl. Cyricaus Osuji, who told the court that the housekeeper committed the offence on Sept. 9, at Dolphin Estate in Ikoyi, added: “She stole a set of underwear, three sets of `buba’ and wrappers, seven pieces of pants, bracelet, 10 pieces of handkerchief and seven pieces of face towel. The others items are two pair of stockings, night wears, all valued at N295, 000.”
