You Won’t Believe Why Mum Is Not Willing To Take Care Of Her Daughter

A mum of a disabled teenager who thinks her daughter is too ugly to live with her has refused to play any parental role towards her offspring. The 16-year-old girl known as Katya, 16, surprised doctors in Russia who did not expect her to survive more than a few days after she was born physically and mentally disabled.

According to Daily Mail, social workers are frantically searching for a plastic surgeon to operate on Katya, who was abandoned in the hospital after she was born and now stays in an orphanage.

When contacted, Katya’s mother Nadezhda, who abandoned her after learning of her condition stated:

‘I live in a small village, and I have to think about what the neighbours will say. I am a single mother who raised other children on my own, and I can’t afford plastic surgery. If they manage to make her look better, I will be happy to take her to live with me. But I couldn’t bear to have her here and hear people talking about and calling her “ugly face”.’

The mother who also has three sons, claimed she never knew her daughter was alive until she got a letter from an orphanage that unless she agrees to take care of her she will be placed in an asylum when she turns 18.

Nadezhda admitted she was shocked to see how ugly Katya was when she visited her and said she will love her to have plastic surgery to make her look better.

Katya who has been described by social workers as a very loving and happy child was born with a deformed ear and nose and also has a problem speaking due to mental issues.

Social workers confirmed they have been trying to raise money for Katya to have an operation and are also hoping a plastic surgeon might agree to perform the operation for free or at a low cost.
