AMAZING: Woman Gives Birth To Premature Baby At 30,000ft
A Chinese Airline flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a Taiwanese woman gave birth at 30,000 feet during a long distance flight.
According to Mirror, the woman, who had not reach the 32 week stage of pregnancy, alerted airline staff that her water had broken during the flight from Taiwna Taoyuan International Airport to Los Angeles. Fortunately, a doctor was on the plane and helped in delivering the baby girl.
The captain of the plane made an emergency landing at the Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage, US, where the mother who was travelling alone and the baby were both taken to hospital, where both of them were reported to be in healthy condition.
After taking out time to refuel, the plane continued its trip to Los Angeles, three hours behind schedule.
The airline has stated that women who are not 32 weeks pregnant are allowed to board the plane which is why the mum to be was on the plane. The airline also advised pregnant women to see their doctors before boarding a plane to ensure their safety and as well as their babies.
The Nationality of the baby girl is yet to be determined because according to The China Post , it will depend upon the birth certificate issued by the Anchorage hospital as she was born in US airspace aboard a Republic of China carrier, according to the Civil Aeronautics Administration.
Wow. Congrat to her.
Thank God for her and the baby. I think airlines should employ medical doctors to.fly with them. The baby is American born and will be issued an American birth certificate. I am sure she was going to have the baby there anyways
