You Won’t Believe Where Missing 11-Year-Old’s Dead Body Was Allegedly Found

A dead body believed to be that of Janiya Thomas, an 11-year-old Florida girl who disappeared over a year ago, was reportedly found locked in a freezer in her grandmother’s garage by her aunt and grandmother on Sunday. Her mum, Keishanna Thomas, 31, who had previously refused to say anything to detectives about her daughter’s whereabouts, is currently being held at a Manatee County jail and investigated as the prime suspect.

Police spokesman, Lt. James Racky, told reporters late Sunday: “Mother’s silence to me says she’s guilty. She’s not a mother. She’s wicked, she’s wrong, she’s criminal. She’s possibly a killer.”

Keishanna reportedly brought the locked four-by-five freezer to her mother’s house on Wednesday with the help of a male friend without giving any details about where she brought it from.

The grandmum and aunt told police they forced the freezer open to check out its content after seeing news reports that Janiya was missing.

Investigators believe Janiya’s mum’s frustration with her daughter’s inability to tell when she needs to use the bathroom, a condition which also killed Janiya’s father, might have been the motive for the alleged killing.
