Pastor’s Pregnant Wife Shot, Left Half-naked at Home with Toddler Son

Two men, Larry Jo Taylor Jr, 18, and Jalen Watson, 21, have been charged with the murder a pregnant pastor’s wife, Amanda Blackburn, 28, who died in the hospital a day after she was shot during a home invasion while caring for her one-year-old son at their home in Indianapolis on November 1.

Blackburn’s half-naked body was discovered by her husband, Davey, when he returned home from working out at a gym. It was not clear if she had been sexually assaulted, according to documents filed by the prosecutor’s office.

Prosecutor Terry Curry reportedly said no decision has been made on whether to seek the death penalty in the case or whether additional charges would be filed due to Blackburn’s pregnancy. He also noted that there was currently no evidence to support sex assault charges but that the investigation was continuing.
