A video of a lovestruck man who stopped traffic on one of Houston’s busiest highways to propose to his girlfriend was posted on Instagram on Sunday and has since gone viral.
“I just wanted to do something different,” the prospective groom, Vidal Valladares, said.
However, lover boy may have gotten himself into trouble with the law for daring to be different as his proposal tied up traffic on the busy highway.
Houston Police Department spokeswoman, Jodi Silva, reportedly confirmed the 24-year-old will be charged with obstruction of highway, which is a Class B misdemeanor.
If convicted of the class B misdemeanor, Valladares faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a $2,000 fine.
Doing something different that will land you in trouble is foolishness.
