A woman from Chaozhou, South China’s Guangdong Province, described as an angry parent, created a scene by threatening to throw her child into a fast-flowing river to drown, Daily Mail reports. The mother was dangling her daughter above the water because she got bad grades in school.

A witness, Mr Wei, said the girl’s mother who was speaking Chinese, told onlookers that her daughter had threatened to commit suicide every time she tried to educate her, so she was teaching her a serious a lesson.
