HEARTWARMING! Mum Who Donated Late Baby Son’s Heart Listens to it Beat Years Later in Recipient’s Body

Heather Clark, a Californian mum who donated her deceased 7-month-old son’s heart to a little Arizona girl with congenital heart defect, heard it beat for the first time since his death in 2013 as she pressed a stethoscope to the 4-year-old recipient, Jordan Drake’s chest at a Phoenix hospital on Friday.

As she cried, Esther Gonzalez, Jordan’s mum, reportedly comforted her, saying, “That’s your baby…We’re family now. We’re friends now.”

Gonzalez was also said to have presented Clark a teddy bear that plays an audio recording of her deceased son’s heart beat.

Heather’s heartwarming gesture gave Jordan who desperately needed a heart transplant a second chance at life.

According to NYDailyNews, Clark’s son, Lukas, her first child, was 7-months-old when he suffered fatal injuries, allegedly at the hands of a babysitter’s abusive boyfriend in a Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., home. He died three days later at a Loma Linda hospital.

A trial date has not been set for the suspect, Ryan Anthony Garcia, 24, who has been remanded in a San Bernardino County jail since his arrest.
