Do You Want to Live Till You are Over 100 Years Old? This Might Help!

The world’s oldest living persons who have lived above 100 have revealed treasured secrets to their long lives – some of the secrets are just unbelievable.

Reports from Metro revealed that the world’s oldest living person died yesterday in New York City. Susannah Mushatt Jones (pictured above), from Alabama, had said she credited her longevity to lots of sleep and abstinence from cigarettes and alcohol.

Want more secrets to long life? Here’s some more advice from people who are still alive at over 100 years old:

Elizabeth Sullivan: Dr Pepper

Elizabeth Sullivan has slightly more unusual advice for those who want to live as long as possible or at least.

For her, she claims ‘Dr Pepper’ worked for her.

Ms Sullivan, still going strong at 105, has drunk three cans of the stuff every day for 40 years.

Leandra Becerra Lumbreras: Chocolate

Leandra died aged 127, though that could not be officially verified because she had lost her birth certificate.

She claimed chocolate was the key to her longevity, but also said sleeping for days on end and never getting married played a part.

Kathleen Hilton: Fry-ups

Grimsby’s Kathleen Hilton celebrated her 105th birthday with a full English breakfast, something she credits for her long life.

According to her, every Saturday morning, the grandmother-of-six and great-grandmother-of-nine has a cooked breakfast with bacon, sausage, tomatoes, eggs and beans.

Pauline Spagnola: Booze, and lots of it

When Century-old Pauline Spagnola, from Pennsylvania, was asked what the key to her long life was, she answered, without hesitation: ‘Drink a lot of booze.’

Antonio Docampo Garcia: Four bottles of red wine

Pic shows: Spaniard who lived 107 years - Antonio Docampo GarcÌa. A Spanish man who lived to be 107 lasted so long because he refused to drink water ñ and only ever drank his own home-made red wine. Antonio Docampo Garcia, who died last week in Vigo, north-western Spain, always told friends and family that red wine was the secret to his long life, backing up medical reports supporting the suggestion that red wine can be good for our health. But most of those suggest a glass or two a day, whereas Antonio could drink over a hundred litres in a month. His son Manuel Docampo Lopez said: "I would watch him drink a litre and a half all at once, and he never drank water." And he used to tease those who told him to drink less, and would say: "Give me another glass of wine so I can snore when I'm dead." Manuel added that he was also a fan of his father's home-made red wine, and together they could get through over 200 litres a month. He said that his dad usually drank a litre and a half at lunchtime, and the same again at dinner. After fighting in the Spanish Civil War, and coming close to death, Docampo retired from the army to become a wine grower and then dedicated the rest of his life to making wine - founding the company Bodegas Docampo. While the majority of the wine produced was sold, Docampo made sure to keep a considerable amount for his own private consumption. "If he produced 60,000 litres a year he would keep 3,000 litres for himself," his nephew, Jeronimo Docampo, who now runs Bodegas Docampo, told local media. (ends)

Vineyard Antonio Cocampo Garcia, from Ribadavia in north Spain, died in February at the age of 107 years old, having drunk four bottles of red wine every day for decades.

Antonio lasted for that long because he refused to drink water and only ever drank his own home-made red wine.

He always told friends and family that red wine was the secret to his long life, backing up medical reports supporting the suggestion that red wine can be good for our health.

His son Manuel Docampo Lopez said: “I would watch him drink a litre and a half all at once, and he never drank water.”

He added that his father would knock back a couple of bottles of red at lunch and a further two at dinner and when the pair were at home, they would get through 200 litres of wine a month.

  • Wow!, so so good but in all, it’s just God’s mercies upon their lives cos each an every one of them has God’s plan for them & not what they ate or drank that kept them, though their food & drink might have contributed, but God has the final say in everything. Kudos to MIM. …. May God help us all IJN amen.

  • At the end of the day, it’s God that determines, but it’s good to live healthy.
