Man Gives Birth to His Daughters, Because His Wife Couldn’t Medically

Chris Rehs-Dupin, reveals in an interview with Mirror.Uk how he gave birth to his daughters. Chris met his wife Amy, when he was in his 20’s, working at a children’s summer camp. They always knew they definitely wanted a family. Before their marriage, Chris had opened up to his wife, on how he was formerly a woman but transitioned to become a man.

After five attempts of intrauterine insemination – fertility treatment that involves placing sperm inside a uterus to facilitate fertilization  failed, Chris opted to carry their baby instead. He gave birth to their two-year-old daughter, Hayden, naturally on December 20, 2014, after five rounds of IUI treatment and a miscarriage.

Amy was more determined after the birth of their daughter to pass through the journey of pregnancy. She went for another round of  IUI, and gave birth to their son Milo in 2016 by  cesarean section.

Talking to reporters,  Amy explained their very unusual parenting strategies

“When Chris was pregnant it was really difficult, because I always thought I would be the one to carry our children. It was definitely a strain and it was difficult. Some days, he looked like a man with a beer belly” She said

Chris also felt the strain of being pregnant, after not living as a woman for almost 15 years.

Being pregnant is such a female thing and that’s when I started to question that it was not what I was.

“I don’t think I had a problem emotionally having a child, I wasn’t losing a part of my identity. I think the world had a bigger problem with it than I did. Some people think men aren’t supposed to carry children, that’s the world we live in. So, I feel like the world would see it as emasculating, that it would make me less trans but not the case for me. For me it was an amazing experiencing” Chris explained.

The strange but excited couple told reporters how happy they were that they became parents.  Amy was legally registered as Hayden’s mother, while he was listed as ‘parent.’
