Dear MIMsters: What Can I Do to Make My Wedding Happen Soon

I need your advice on how to make my wedding to the father of my child happen soon.

I mistakenly took in for my boyfriend in the year 2013. We both loved each other so much and he seemed so happy that he would be a father soon. His father was also happy about the pregnancy news. Unfortunately, he lost his dad in November of the same year.

However, immediately his mum heard I was pregnant with her son’s baby, she embarrassed me publicly. In full view of everyone, she told me that I am not up to their standard because I am obviously not from a rich family.

When I gave birth to my baby who turned out to be a girl, my baby daddy moved out of his father’s house to rent his own apartment. I moved in with him and we started living together just to avoid more trouble from his mum. I must say that he has always tried his best possible to shield me from his mum’s insults and her troubles.

He has even fought with his mum because of me, telling her he can’t deny me because he loves me. My problem is that till date, his family has still not come to pay my bride price and whenever I bring up the topic, my baby daddy always tells me to relax and wait for him to sort things out first. What can I do to make my wedding happen soon?
