How Rising Actress Ann Edidem’s Father has Influenced Her Career Decisions Will Make You Smile
Fast rising Nigerian actress, Ann Edidem Bassey from Akwa Ibom State, who starred in ‘Child Seller,’ alongside Mercy Johnson, Angela Okorie, Mike Ezuruonye, and Patience Ozokwor, is grateful to her dad for the influence he has had on her career.
She revealed this in a recent chat with TheNet.
”My father is a disciplinarian who takes no nonsense from any of us,” she said. He told us that our body is sacred and meant to be seen by our husbands, not the public. I heard this at the age of six and each time I want to go nude on set or wherever, that fear creeps in,” the actress reveals.
And I’ll immediately say no to it, because I wouldn’t want people to blackmail him (her father) by saying ‘isn’t that his daughter, why is he preaching to us?,” she added.
The University of Portharcourt Theatre Arts graduate who made her acting debut as Sacramento in ‘Sexy Vampires’ with Ini Edo and Oge Okoye, also said she went into acting because she’s always seen herself being a lawyer or an actor in life.
Ann has starred in over 10 Nollywood movies in the past three years. They include ‘Osinachi my love,’ ‘Bombay,’ ‘Illuminati Kingdom,’ ‘Women’s Rights,’ ‘Dragon Lord,’ and ‘Enuma.
