BREAKING: President Muhammadu Buhari to Return to Nigeria Today
This is good news! President Muhammadu Buhari will be returning to the country later today, August 19, after receiving adequate medical treatment in London.
You will recall that the President had left Nigeria on May 7, this year, after handing over power to his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.

According to a statement released by the Presidential media aide, Femi Adesina, the President is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017.

”President Muhammadu Buhari returns to the country later today, after receiving medical attention in London. The President had left the country on May 7, this year, after handing over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.
President Buhari is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017. He thanks all Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.

You will also remember that the President had on January 18 written the National Assembly, notifying the legislature that he was proceeding on a 10-day leave (read here) and temporarily transferring presidential power to Osinbajo.
The leave was supposed to last 10 working days, between January 23 and February 6, according to the letter transmitted to both chambers of the National Assembly.
On the 5th of February, Buhari, whose real medical condition remained unknown, sent another letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, informing the National Assembly of the extension of his vacation.
Since then, he has been on and off London for his treatment.
