Faces of Suspects Who Rape Women During Night Vigils in Enugu Unveiled
A few weeks ago, the Police Command in Enugu State said they have nabbed nine suspected men, who specialised in raping female members during church vigils at the outskirts of Enugu.
According to Vanguard, spokesperson for the command Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident in a statement said the suspects were nabbed during a night vigil in a church located at Akpasha community in Nkanu West Local Government Area, following a well-coordinated intelligence information.
The spokesperson further explained that the young men usually pretended to be worshipers in the church only to monitor female worshipers going out to answer nature’s call “and wreck the havoc.”

According to him, they forcefully have carnal knowledge of their victims.
”This nefarious act is done while service in the church is going on, and after the rape, they run away,” he said.

To further confirm the reports, the police has now unveiled the faces of the rapists to alert the public.
Amaraizu said the suspects are currently helping the police with investigations.

We advise that female worshipers who stroll out of the auditorium while vigil is going on should not go alone, rather they move in groups.
