Family Man, Lanre Dabiri ‘eLDee’ Offers Valuable Advice To Social Media Beggars
Father of two and talented Nigerian rapper, Lanre Dabiri, 41, professionally known as eLDee has joined other celebrities to condemn the rising spate of begging across all social media platforms.
eLDee took to social media to call out those who beg on same to stop the shameful habit, stating that ‘begging isn’t the starting point for ambitious people’ and that he is ‘sick and tired’ of people sliding into his DM to beg him for money.
He wrote:
“I’m sick and tired of people sliding into my DM to beg me for MONEY, I barely have enough for me and my girls and I sure don’t have money trees growing in my Yard. You need to realize that every time I give you money, I am depriving myself and my family of present and future convenience. I love to GIVE BUT I LOVE MY DAUGHTERS MORE THAN I LOVE YOU. The most sacrifice I am willing to make right now is to teach you how to get money by yourself, we all have the same 24 hours. Sad truth is that most people who beg aren’t willing to put in the necessary work to get out of their situation. Begging is the laziest of your option, you have limbs and a brain. You don’t have to be smart to have a job, of course the response is always i can’t find a job, but truth is you can, you just think you’re too cool for what’s available to you. You’d rather try to shame me into paying your way through life. Its the same green money you’ll get as a professional that you’ll get cleaning toilets. There is always work if you focus on what’s important. The amount of money is what’s different, working your way up to more money is nobody else’s responsibility but yours. Begging is not the starting point for ambitious people.”
