Latest On Sex-For-Marks Scandal: Suspended OAU Lecturer, Professor Richard Akindele Remanded In Prison

Well, the latest about the case is that the married Professor has been remanded in prison.
He was arraigned on Monday before Maureen Onyetenu- a justice of Federal high court in Osogbo, Osun state; by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
He was arraigned on four count charges bothering on alteration of age and demanding for sex to pass his student.

It was reported that on November 14, ICPC had said Akindele would be arraigned on three count charges, for acting contrary to sections 8(1)(a)(ii), and 18 (d) under the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000; and the lecturer, through his lawyer, Omotayo Alade-Fawole, had told the ICPC that he was ready to plead guilty to the crime, in the hopes of getting some form of concession.
Recall that the management of OAU had earlier dismissed Professor Akindele in June, 2018; following investigations into the matter by the governing council of the institution, and now, he is being remanded in prison custody.
