Inspiring: See What This Man, Olorunshola Emmanuel Made Of The Limes Life Gave Him
If your dream is big enough, there’s no stopping you. What you also believe about yourself will go a long way to determining how you evolve and whether you will fulfill your dreams or they will remain just what they are-mere dreams. The story of a Nigerian entrepreneur, Olorunshola Emmanuel is proof that you can be everything you aspire to, even if you started rough.
Emmanuel shared the inspirational story of how he defied the odds after graduating with a poor CGPA of 1.73 to become the founder of a multinational company with 23 staff members, 15 in Nigeria and 8 in china. He shared his story after career coach Dipo Awojide made a tweet about the power of the right mindset and mentality.
Dipo had tweeted the following:
If I graduated with a 3rd class I’d still be successful in life. Mindset and mentality matters a lot.
To buttress the career coach’s point, Emmanuel made an example of himself to encourage others, saying, he studied applied chemistry, but graduated with a ‘Pass’ and that it took him 7 long years to get the result instead of 4. But because he believed in himself, that shaky footing did not play out in how successful he has become.
Read his tweet below;
I studied pure and applied chemistry, graduated with a pass (about 1.75 or so) and it even took me 7yrs instead of 4 to get the result.
Today I have 15 staff in Nigeria and 8 in China running a company that’s on a steady growth and doing really well.
Mindset & mentality is key.
