Hollywood actress, Meagan Good famed for her role in Hollywood movie,Think Like A Man in a recent interview with D.L Hughley on his radio show talked about her Christian faith and marriage to her pastor husband, Devon Franklin and how church folks have made going to church harder for her since she got married to her husband.
The actress’s husband, Devon is a minister/movie producer and she equally was born and raised in a Christian home. However, Meagan Good revealed that since she got married to the minister, the criticisms of who she is, and the roles she played in her movie career has intensified by church folks who do not realise how sensitive she is to their unfriendly comments.
The 37-year-old said although she remains steadfast in her Christian beliefs, she doesn’t attend church as much as she’d like to due to overcritical churchgoers.
“I do. Not all the time though, because if I’m being completely honest, my experience with some church folks has not been that positive.
It’s unfortunate because we’re supposed to be the biggest lovers.
And it’s like even if you disagree with someone or you don’t think what they’re doing is right, you’re supposed to mind your own business and pray for that person.
Other times, you’re supposed to correct in love if that’s what God told you to do.
And there was no correction in love. It was like a complete assault.”
“I’m waiting on the timeline —’ and I hear “I can’t believe she did this sex scene. She’s a married woman,’” referring to hateful comments she receives.
The Think Like a Man star went on to say:
“At the end of the day, for me, I still love Christians. I will always love the church.
