Senator Shehu Sani Sounds Note Of Caution To Those Who Are In The Habit Of Travelling Outside The Country With Their Housemaids
Nigerian senator, author, playwright and a human rights activist, Shehu Sani, has sent a note of caution to Nigerians who are in the habit of traveling out of the country with their housemaids.
His warning comes following the recent allegation of human trafficking and organ harvesting leveled against former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu.
Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, was on Thursday, arrested in London over alleged harvest organ. They were also charged to court for conspiring to bring a child to the UK for alleged organ harvesting.
Following this, Senator Sani took to his verified Facebook page to warn those who are in the habit of travelling with their housemaid to always be conscious of doing so, or else the housemaid will push them into long-term trouble.
Senator Sani wrote:
”People who are in the habit of traveling with their young Housemaids abroad to help them take care of their kids should be careful.
If the Housemaids decide to report that they were trafficked, the authorities of that country will step into the matter; And it will take you a long time to get out of trouble even if you are innocent.”
