‘I Still Fear My Mum At 37’ – Toke Makinwa Discloses As She Recounts Interesting Story Most African Children Can Relate To

Nigerian media personality, television host, and author, Toke Makinwa took to Twitter to reveal that she still fears her mother even at the age of 37.

As we all know, African parents in those days, are typically disciplined and well-cultured. They don’t spare the rod and spoil the child when it comes to bringing up their children in the manner they deem fit.

Recalling one of the moments she shared with her mum, the vlogger disclosed that her mother once visited her unannounced and she found herself scrambling to spray everywhere to rid her space of the smell of “pot” which her friends smoked while they were at her house.

According to her, if her mother had noticed what actually happened, she won’t be able to tell the story as she did now.

Her full tweet reads:

“You are never too old to fear your African mother, tell me why in my 37 years of age, my mother shows up to my house unannounced and I’m spraying everywhere cos I had guests over and some smoked some pot.

If she catches a whiff of it, I may not be alive to gist you all o. You’ll be paying your own bills and be in your big age but the fear of your parents is still real.

Bruhhh, I’m like what if I had a special someone that stayed over??? You cannot just wake up and show up at my house Mother.”

“Yeah right! Why would you allow your friends smoke pot in your home if you don’t smoke too? Make we hear word o. The woman is always used to your way of life, she is just hoping you don’t kill yourself while at it!”

But if she’s happy with those behaviors then something is wrong somewhere. Remember the internet don’t forget.”
