I had this in secondary school in Benin City….. Your entire body will be itchy from hours to days. It will start with a small patch, and within 30 minutes, your entire body is swollen. You will not be able to do anything.. and I mean anything because you are busy scratching. It is intense.
I had to be sent home from the boarding house several times when it got so bad. Anyway, after living with it for 4 years and going from one doctor to another, there was a doctor in Benin that gave me a shot, and it went away. The doctor has passed on now and I don’t know what he gave me. Hives at best can be an annoyance, at its worse, it is debilitating.

Urticaria is not as bad as exaggerated here. It can be uncomfortable but nothing to the extent of hindering work or life as described. She doesn’t have good doctors or just has not sorted the right treatment because allergy doctors will narrow down and tell her what her triggers are and once its avoided, just like that, you’re free as the bird.
