Actor Kolawole Ajeyemi Breaks Silence As His Family Face Backlash Over His Wife, Toyin Abraham’s Choice Of Presidential Candidate
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham’s husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, has finally reacted as his wife faces backlash for supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
Toyin, a staunch fan of APC received heavy criticism online from Nigerians who are opposed to her political affiliation.
Nigerians on social media dragged her through the mud. Many accused the mother of one of making her choice for financial gains and others called her a hypocrite for lending her voice to the EndSARS campaign only to go ahead and support the ruling party. Some even went as far as cursing her husband and children.
Finally reacting amid the backlash, Toyin’s husband made it clear that the fact that his wife is supporting a particular party doesn’t mean that he is supporting her.
The father of two added that he personally did not campaign for any party.
He wrote:
“Good day everybody, it’s not like I asked anyone of you to vote for any candidate or campaigned for any party and the fact that my wife is supporting a specific party doesn’t mean that I’m supporting her.
So, those of you laying curses on my children I rebuke it all and I wish you all the same. And I repeat I did not campaign for any candidate.”
Also reacting, Toyin insisted she didn’t collect any money. According to her:
“If I collect money your curses will come to pass on me but if it’s my choice and nothing more forgetting the person that eats gbi can’t die. I Oluwatoyin I will not die and my star will not fall into water.”
Kolawole had earlier stirred reactions from netizens after he called for peace amid the ongoing social media drama between Nollywood actresses (Read here).
Recall that some Nigerian celebrities clashed on social media over their choice of candidates in Saturday’s presidential elections and have been dragging each other ever since.

The Nollywood stars, while throwing jabs at themselves, threw caution to the wind and exposed their dirty secrets.
In the midst of this, Toyin’s husband urged his colleagues on Instagram to be mature while reminding them that many people look up to them as role models. He wrote:
“In everything we do please, let’s always remember who we are and what we are doing. Let’s remember we are also role models to someone somewhere and people out there are looking up to us everything going on right now will surely pass and please let’s not do things that will later affect you.”
Many social media users, however, flocked to Kola’s comment section to urge him to instead caution his wife.
“Forward this to your wife…she needs that more….mstchewwwww”, an Instagram follower wrote.
