‘I Was Supposed To Get Married In 2005…’ – Actress/Producer, Allwell Ademola Shares Heartbreaking Reason She’s Unmarried At 41
Nigerian movie star, Allwell Ademola has opened up about the heartbreaking reason why she is not married at age 41.
In a YouTube program, Talk to B, the actress opened up about her love life in an interview with her colleague, Biola Bayo.
She recalled how death denied her chance at matrimony with her fiancé almost two decades ago.
In the recently surfaced excerpt from the unreleased session, Allwell said she was to have married in 2005 but an unfortunate incident happened that stole her fiancé permanently away from her as he was shot while they spoke on phone.
Popular for her roles in the movie ‘You or I’ (2013) and ‘Omo Emi’ (2017), the 41-year-old movie star noted the tragic occurrence had such great impact on her mental health.
According to her, losing her partner in such a manner left her deeply distraught as she lost her mind for two years.
“I was supposed to have gotten married in 2005, but he died on November fifth, that same year.
“I was talking to him on the phone when he got shot. It was a very traumatic experience for me. I lost my mind for 2 years. I didn’t know how my phone dropped, I was just there.”
In a chat she had with PUNCH six years ago on the matter, the actress said:
“After his death, I went into another relationship with my best friend who was supposed to be our best man. (He was my friend and he later became my man’s friend).
I later realised I didn’t know him well enough after we dated for eight months. That was another heart break. Haven suffered two heartbreaks , I decided to take it easy and fell in love with my job. For now, I am fine without a man.”
