X Users Ask Valid Questions After Men Counsel Women On How To Stay Safe Following Gruesome Murder FUNAAB Student, Christianah Idowu
Women on X are expressing outrage over being advised on ways to avoid being murdered by men.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that a 15-year-old boy, Goodluck Bison, told his mother he was going for morning Mass.
He then went into the home of a girl named Mercy, hit her head with a pestle multiple times, and raped her, leaving her at death’s door.
Days later, it was announced that a 200-level student of OOU named Ayomide Ayodele, 23, murdered his childhood friend and church member, 300-level student of FUNAAB Christianah Idowu, and tried to extort her widowed mother afterwards.
A number of men reacted by advising women to protect themselves by avoiding certain things and going out with weapons.
Even gospel entertainer Woli Arole weighed in by advising women to avoid sugar daddies and fornication.
He wrote:
“Message to the LADIES:The devil is on rampage against young ladies destinies. Can we see the rate of RITUAL KILLINGS. Ladies don’t fornicate around, don’t carry SUGAR DADDY, don’t follow one boy friend away for a weekend, don’t date BOYS you know that are doing FRAUD!!!.Be careful. Beware. Study your Bible, PRAY. Give your life to Christ. Your destiny is more than SEX and MONEY.”
The advice sparked outrage as women said many of those attacked kept to all the rules, yet were still harmed by men. They then asked when men will begin advising their fellow men to stop attacking or killing women.
One woman pointed out that her own attacker is her blood brother who abused her for years.
