Singer Jodie Responds After A Female Evangelist Asked Why She Hasn’t Taken Her Special Needs Child For Prayers

‘Kuchi Kuchi’ crooner, Joy Odiete popularly known as Jodie (stage name), has responded after a Nigerian female evangelist asked why she hasn’t taken her special needs child, Chinua, for prayers.

Jodie was formerly married to actor David Nnaji and they had their special needs son while they were still together. They however went their separate ways soon after they had their child and Jodie has been responsible for caring for Chinua since then.

The singer recently shared photos of herself and her son on social media and the female evangelist asked why she hadn’t taken her son to a pastor in Nigeria for prayers.

According to the female evangelist, what God cannot do does not exist. Jodie saw the comment and went on to respond.

Evangelist Kelvin wrote:

“We have so many pastors with healing grace in this country, why have you not taken your child to one of them? What God cannot do does not exist.”

Jodie responded:

“Mephibosheth, Grandson of King Saul and son of Jonathan, Mephibosheth was disabled in both feet. Despite his disability, King David showed him kindness and allowed him to eat at his table for the rest of his life. LEARN TO BE KIND.”

The single mother added:

“It is important for people to understand that words can cause negative ripple effects. Not every blind will see or lame walk and their mothers should not be blamed for that.”
