Intimacy, Unwinding And More: Meghan Markle Shares Candid Insight About Life With Prince Harry

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle opened up about her relationship with her husband, Prince Harry, sharing a rare and candid insight into their bond.
In a new interview with PEOPLE hot off the heels of the premiere of her new show on Netflix, With Love, Meghan, the 43-year-old mum revealed the intimate tradition she shares with her husband every night.
Sharing her nightly routine, Meghan explained that every evening, she and Prince Harry, 40, do something called ‘nightcap recaps,’ where they have a drink and talk about the day while they prepare lunchboxes for their children to take to school.
The pair have two children together – son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three.
“I think all parents in this phase with kids the same age know it’s rinse and repeat,” the Suits alum told the outlet of their nighttime ritual.
Markle also disclosed that during the day they make time for each other, as they enjoyed sharing lunches together, calling it “day dates”. Markle added that when they’re done in the kitchen, they will sometimes watch some television.

Meghan shared,
“We love Shrinking; we just finished Black Doves, and we’re excited for the new season of The White Lotus.”
During her show, the mother of two offered viewers a few details about her personal life in Montecito with her family.
She also said,
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.
“It’s almost like a honeymoon period again. Because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it.”
In the second episode, as she was preparing a rainbow fruit salad for a children’s garden party, she spoke about the importance of being a ‘present parent.’
“It’s a real delight in being able to be a present parent. And it’s a luxury sometimes because we all have to work. We all have a lot of stuff to do.
But when you can take a minute to just… finding the fun in those moments, makes for a really sweet start to the weekend,”
she added, before finishing off her colorful display with dollops of yogurt and flower sprinkles.
“It doesn’t need to be big for a party, it’s how you incorporate these practices everyday,”
concluded the Duchess.
