Toke Makinwa’s Dream: “I want my father’s name written in the stars . . . “
Media Personality and vlogger, Toke Makinwa, has taken to social media to reminisce about her late father who died in home fire outbreak when she was just 8 years and quite young.
Toke whose younger sister Ope Makinwa got married in Oslo, Norway last weekend, said all she wants is for her late father’s name to be written in the stars.
Toke who was from a family of six now four, went further to disclose that her late dad died the year he was making big plans, and that big plan have always haunted her to continue to be more.
Recollect she revealed the death of her parents and how they died in her book titled, On Becoming, which she launched in 2016. The book reveals more on Toke’s life.
Her parents who were just 35 (dad) and 34 (mum) at the time of their demise, died as a result of a fire that was caused by a gas cylinder explosion at their home.

According to Toke she saw her parents burn and it hurt her so much. She opened up in her book that fear gripped her. It must have a traumatic experience for the four children.

She wrote:
“My father died with big dreams, the year he died he was making big plans and that has haunted me to continue to be more. I just want his name written in the stars, I just want him to know the God he served fulfilled all he promised him, even in death!
