Soothing: Check Out Serena William’s Husband’s Tribute To Her Following Her Loss
Imagine this:
A spouse who supports you through thick and thin, through and through, who is there for you in good times, and in bad times, who holds your hands, smiles into your eyes, sings into your ears, carries you on his shoulder and climbs on the rooftop to shout, “come what way, I’ve got your back” is the kind of man many women would give everything possible to call their own.
And someone seems to have a man, who fits the descriptions above in her life.
Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, posted an emotional and soothing tribute to his wife following her tough loss Saturday, to Germany’s Angelique Kerber, who defeated Williams in two sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Angelique beat seven-time champion, Serena Williams to win her first Wimbledon title. Williams made it to the Wimbledon final after giving birth to her daughter and experiencing life-threatening complications just 10 months ago.
And though she lost the title to Angelique Kerber, her fans have not stopped rooting for her.
Leading the pack of those rooting for her is no one but her dear husband, Alexis Ohanian. The American Internet entrepreneur and investor, who is co-founder and executive chairman of the social news website, Reddit, wrote an emotional message for his wife on social media — leaving thousands teary-eyed on Instagram and Twitter.
In a moving message, Ohanian said Serena is “just getting started” after the loss, highlighting the critical surgery after their daughter’s birth.
“Days after our baby girl was born, I kissed my wife goodbye before surgery and neither of us knew if she would be coming back,” he wrote on Instagram. “We just wanted her to survive—10 months later, she’s in the #Wimbledon final.”
She’s got the greatest one waiting at home for her. Our family knows she’ll win many more trophies, too,” he wrote. “She’s just getting started. And I couldn’t be more proud.”
The message was liked by thousands on Instagram and Twitter, with Netizens rooting for him for being so supportive of his wife.
