‘My Son Breaks TV When He’s Angry’ – Bovi Reveals As He Talks Gentle Parenting
Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has revealed that his son used to break televisions out of anger but has since learned to manage his emotions.
Bovi shared this in a recent interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by Nedu, Husband Material, and others.
During the conversation, the comic actor and dad of three explained that although he supports gentle parenting and does not advocate for beating children, his own experience as a parent has been unique.
Bovi recounted how his son, Chuchu, would break televisions whenever he got angry. However, with time, the boy began to show remorse and stopped the behavior.
He advised parents to let children be and not beat them for their mistakes.
In his words:
“I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. My son Chuchu dey break television for the fun of it. If he vex, he will throw stuff and break television.

Bovi emphasised the importance of allowing children to learn and grow without physical discipline.
This however, did not sit well with Nigerians, as many have slammed the actor for encouraging violence and raising a son who lacks control of his emotions.
