See What This Couple Did At Their Wedding Reception

A couple’s wedding day should be all about them but not so for Turkish groom Ali Uzumcuolu and his bride Esra Polat as they shared their day with Syrian refuges fleeing from their country.

Aol reports:

Ali Uzumcuoglu and his bride had what some would argue to be the most beautiful wedding ever on Thursday. Though unconventional, the venue proved just how much love the newlyweds have to give. They were married in Kili province on the Syrian border which is home to thousands of Syrian refugees fleeing from their country.

Rather than hosting a large celebratory banquet, the beautiful couple decided they wanted a celebration that would make a difference in people’s lives. They collaborated with the aid organization Kimse Yok Mu to feed 4,000 refugees by donating the savings their families had put together for their wedding party.

The wedding guests operated food trucks to share the wedding meal with refugee families. The bride and groom helped distribute the meals and took their wedding pictures with people at the camp.

The groom’s father, Ali Anant, told the Serhat Kilis Gazette that the family wanted to celebrate their happiness by spreading happiness to others.

He said:“Our wedding dinner is such a happy occasion for us and in the name of our Syrian brothers we wanted to employ the help of Kimse Yok Mu. Hopefully this will be the beginning of other wedding dinners shared here with our Syrian brothers… It was certainly different.”
