Photographer Gives Dead Dad Chance To ‘Meet’ Son

A dad who died before his child was born, ‘met’ his son courtesy of a photographer’s lovely pictures.

27-year-old Taurean Summers, a flight medic died on board a medical transport plane that crashed just outside Las Cruces in new Mexico while his wife, Summer was expecting their son.

Stephanie who named her son after his father met a photographer Laura Gordillo to take  new photos with her son. She photographed Stephanie with her son at the same places Stephanie and Summers had taken some anniversary photos before his death.

She was pleasantly surprised when Gordillo edited one of the photos to include her dead husband. The photo shows Summers lovingly looking down at his son which left Stephanie in tears.

Speaking to Yahoo, Gordillo  said: “I couldn’t help but cry the entire time! My heart broke to see what could have been. …[Stephanie] said it hurt so much and she missed him so much and she knows he would have been so in love with his son!” I told her he is and will always be by your side, just like in this picture!”

The photographer says since sharing the photo on Facebook she has gotten a lot of messages from people who have similar experiences.

She said: “They seem to be drawn to this image because it hits home, death is something no one is exempt from. I’m just hoping people also learn from this and take pictures of their family as much as they can because nothing is guaranteed.”
